Tomas Jonsgarden

Tomas Jonsgarden, an accomplished director and screenwriter, initially trained in music before transitioning to film. Starting as a director’s assistant and later as a photographer’s assistant, he gradually developed his aesthetic eye. Transitioning to commercial and editorial photography, Tomas refined his personal style. In 2001, he joined Forsberg & Co production company, where he directed commercials and music videos. In 2007, he was recognized as "The Most Talented Commercial Director" in Sweden. 

Throughout his career, Tomas’s work has been characterized by a cinematic storytelling style that focuses on human emotions and connections. His ability to capture everyday moments and imbue them with profound emotional resonance has earned him accolades at prestigious events such as Cannes Lions, British Arrows, Epica, Eurobest, and New York Festivals.

Recently, he made his mark in long-form storytelling with his directorial debut in the Swedish TV drama "The Mafia." Through his work, Tomas strives to evoke authentic human experiences that resonate with audiences on an emotional level.

In 2023, Tomas was honored with the "Best Director" award at the ROY Awards, highlighting his continued excellence in the field.
