Xavier Giannoli is a French film director, producer and screenwriter.
After directing several award-winning short films starring Mathilde Seigner, François Cluzet and Mathieu Amalric, Giannoli moved on to feature films in 2003 with "Les corps impatients", starring Laura Smet and Nicolas Duvauchelle. He has continued to direct renowned actors throughout his career, and now has eight feature films under his belt. In 2021, he signed "Lost Illusions", an adaptation of a work by Honoré de Balzac, with Gérard Depardieu, Vincent Lacoste, Cécile de France, Xavier Dolan and Benjamin Voisin. This last film won seven Cesars included Best Movie.
Xavier Giannoli has also directed numerous commercials, always using his talents as a filmmaker to tell a story, notably for Orange, Volkswagen, 30 million friends and McDonalds.
