Julien Despaux is a French director based in Paris.
After studying cinema, he collaborates with great directors such as Alexandre Astier or Luc Besson. He made his debut as a director in ambitious fictions with a cinematographic style and an international ambition. He has worked on the creation of several award-winning series sold worldwide, such as Black Spot (2016), Paris Police 1900 (2019) or The 7 lives of Lea (2021). The mixture of genres, the search for an original tone, as well as a precise and elegant stylization are his trademarks. He is currently preparing his first feature film, a black comedy about remarriage, starring Leila Beikhti and Pio Marmai.
