After working as a photojournalist, Antoine Picard decided to transition into advertising still-life photography in 2007, working particularly within the cosmetics, fragrance, jewelry, clockmaking and fine dining industries.
His specialised fields are chiaroscuro, the staging of gold and precious metals, organic matter and purely graphic images. He is dynamic and plays with different aspects of light: using contrast that generates well-drawn shades that are part of a composition, but also half-lights and semi-darkness. He has his own artistic identity, characterised by this taste for refined and graphic chiaroscuro.
Picard also includes a personal touch on his portraits, often using « typography » and a method which he invented and mastered to include writings in his work.
His clients include Numéro Magazine, Hermes, Van Cleef & Arpels, Boucheron, Cartier, Lancôme, L’Oréal Professionnel, Armani / Privé and Giorgio Armani, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Issey Miyake, Chanel, Kenzo, Hennessy, Champagne Pommery …
