Germain Chauveau was born in Paris and studied between Paris, Helsinki and New York. He began his career as an independent art director.
In 2008, he joined Vogue Paris as deputy art director under the direction of Carine Roitfeld. When Emmanuelle Alt took over the direction, he was appointed creative director. He worked with David Sims, Mario Sorrenti, Mario Testino, Lachlan Bailey, Karim Sadli, Inez & Vinood, Jurgen Teller…He spent seven years there before becoming creative director at ELLE. The weekly magazine benefited hugely from this new energy and is now collaborating again with great talents– Gilles Bensimon, Peter Lindbergh, David Bailey, Jean-Paul Goude, Cédric Buchet … amongst others.
In March 2018, he decided to set up his own communication agency Bold and Tall. Since then, he has worked for brands like Chanel, Dior, Ralph Lauren, Nina Ricci, Max Mara, Jerome Dreyfuss, Stella Luna…Germain is now also a Photographer & a Videographer. He recently shot the last 2 Jerome Dreyfus campaigns.
