Delphine Cauly, French Art Director & Illustrator is Paris based.
Under the name of « Été 1981 » she presents her work like a personal mythology, mixing intimate impressions and imaginative memories.
By working on her drawings with Chinese ink, mostly onto aged, sometimes yellowed papers, she tries, without any passeist will, to evoke the sweet nostalgic sensuality of adolescence.
Working regularly for magazines, fashion and edition, it is her collaboration with the French musical duo called Brigitte which made her work more publicly known. For their album « À bouche que veux-tu », Delphine achieved their full visual identity and illustrations.
Mademoiselle Agnès trusted her to create the animated opening of two documentaries by Clarisse Verrier « Haut les Fesses » and « Haut les Seins » broadcasted on Paris Premiere in 2014 and 2015. In 2016, she co-signed an animation music video for Brigitte and collaborated with Mademoiselle Agnès for her capsule collection with Tati.
